Irakli Kashibadze, founder of the venture fund Future Lab, declares that the events developed in the country over the past year have made it difficult to raise funds from the global market and private investors.

The head of the Georgian venture fund says that despite the difficulties, they managed to raise funds from America and finance 24 startups in their fund.

"Raising funds has become quite difficult, as many investors changed their mind due to the current events in the country.

By the way, we have now attracted funds from the US to our venture fund, and this is good, because people who understand this field know that they will receive a profit from the money invested today when everything stabilizes. Yes, the current environment has affected us, but this does not allow us to relax. Before the New Year, many people invested additional funds in our venture fund,” Irakli Kashibadze noted.

According to him, the Future Lab team is working on creating a new venture fund, which will be larger in scale and will finance more startups. The details of the new venture fund will be announced in the spring. “The main thing is to have peace and stability,” Irakli Kashibadze noted.
