Since 2017, investments in “Rancho In Variani” have exceeded GEL 50 million, transforming the 40-hectare site into a large-scale leisure and hospitality complex. As co-founder Natalia Kandelaki noted, the project has evolved from a single restaurant into a destination that now includes 57 cottages, pools, entertainment zones and extensive hotel infrastructure.
The complex currently features two cottage villages - “Tana” with 37 wooden cottages and “Nama” with 20 stone cottages - along with four pools, including a year-round thermal pool. Visitors enjoy activities such as billiards, table tennis, PlayStation, a fishing lake, a mini-farm and various outdoor attractions. The guest base is mostly local, but the share of international tourists and repeat visitors is steadily rising.
Long-term plans include expanding to 10 concept-based cottage villages, each with unique designs, and creating a central area that will host entertainment and event spaces. Cottage capacities range from two-person to 18-person units, allowing the complex to accommodate both small families and large groups of up to 200 guests, who typically stay 2–7 nights.
Future development includes adding an indoor pool and a spa center, while a second large outdoor pool opened in summer 2026. According to Kandelaki, “Rancho In Variani” plays a key role in regional development by boosting tourism in Variani, previously known mainly for its museum, and generating important employment opportunities for the local community.
