The pricing system for state tenders is problematic for some businesses.

The private sector says that operating costs are increasing, but the budget for orders is unchanged.

Giorgi Tavartkiladze, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tesen Group, says that the price of construction materials, which has increased several times over the years, and the increased payroll funds significantly exceed the budgets offered to the businesses.

“These projects were planned some time ago, their design was also purchased and they were evaluated at the time when they were included in the plan. Inflation is going so fast and prices for construction materials in general, as well as the labor force, are increasing so quickly that the assessment made at that moment cannot be compared to the prices existing at the time of the tender announcement. The prices are very different, it is very difficult for us, we cannot practically participate in the tender,” said Giorgi Tavartkiladze, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tesen Group.
