Electronic registration for Tbilisi’s summer kindergartens will begin on June 8 at 10:00 a.m. and continue through June 21, the city authorities announced.
According to Mayor Kakha Kaladze, 54 summer kindergartens will operate this year in July, with the capacity to accommodate up to 19,500 children.
The regular kindergarten academic year ends on June 30, while summer facilities will open on July 1. Registration will be available through the website of the Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency, where a full list of participating institutions is also published.
The program is open to children aged 2 to 6 years who are already enrolled in Tbilisi kindergartens, including those transitioning to school in September. The city says demand is consistently high, as many working parents remain in Tbilisi during the summer period.
City officials also noted that the program provides additional seasonal income for staff, with around 3,900 employees expected to work in the summer kindergarten system this year
