The Regulation Agency for Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities revealed 258 facts of illegal pharmaceutical activities at 62 pharmacies in 2023.
The Agency determined the pharmacies sold psychotropic drugs without a prescription. The law violation facts were submitted to the court.
The Agency cancelled permits for 14 authorized pharmacies and terminated activities to 2 drug stores for a 3-year term.
“The afore-mentioned illegal pharmaceutical activities, depending on the severity of the violation, are subject to a fine of GEL 6,000 to 16,000. Also, the Investigative Service of the Finance Ministry was notified about law violation,” the Agency said.
