The international co-working network Regus, which currently operates four locations in Tbilisi, plans to expand into the Adjara region in 2026. According to regional manager Ruska Chakvetadze, Batumi’s fast-growing real estate and business activity make it a promising market for shared workspaces.
“Batumi is a rapidly developing city in terms of real estate and business activity. While there are some local co-working spaces, no international network has entered the market yet,” Chakvetadze told BM.GE. She emphasized that entering Batumi would be a strategic step for Regus and support the next stage of co-working development in the region.
At this stage, no final decision has been made regarding the exact location or property. Negotiations are ongoing with several building owners and a major local company for potential future projects, though these are likely long-term plans rather than immediate openings.
Investment size will depend on the building’s condition and classification, Chakvetadze noted. Premium-class buildings require larger investments, while standard properties demand less. She said it is currently difficult to provide exact figures, as the scope varies with each property.
