Rehabilitation of King Erekle Bath is being carried out in Abanotubani district in Tbilisi.
According to Jaba Mamatsashvili, executive director of Chreli-Abano, the company started rehabilitation of one of the historic baths with an investment of GEL 4 million.
King Erekle Sulfur Bath, located on 500 sq.m., will be able to receive guests in a completely renovated environment by the end of 2022. The bath will offer them services with modern approaches, along with water reclamation procedures.
"Currently, construction-restoration works are underway in the King Erekle Sulfur Bath, which will be completed late next year. We are trying to bring Georgian cultural heritage in line with modern technologies, which include online bookings and the introduction of various technologies. As part of the project, the interior of the bath will be changed, new pools and mosaics will be arranged, which will make the service more enjoyable. We believe that the renovated bath from 2022 will be able to serve 200-300 people during the day in both SPAs and cafes and will employ up to 50 people,” Jaba Mamatsashvili told BM.GE.
