The landslide on the Achkhoti-Sno-Akhaltsikhe-Juta road, classified as a road of internal state importance, remains active since reactivating in April. According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia, restoration efforts are currently ongoing.|
At this stage, the landslide continues to show active dynamics. As a first step, a temporary road has been arranged to ensure minimal safety for traffic flow.
Meanwhile, geological surveys and continuous monitoring are being carried out to inform the design of long-term reinforcement and full rehabilitation of the affected section.
Representatives of the Roads Department and the contractor company are present on site, assessing the situation and planning further actions to restore the road as soon as possible.
