The area covered by residential construction permits issued in Tbilisi increased significantly in June 2026 after eight consecutive months of decline, according to Galt & Taggart’s latest residential real estate update.
The report shows that permits issued for residential projects reached 300,095 square meters in June, representing a 225.3% year-on-year increase. The figure marks the highest monthly level since 2021 and covers 29 residential projects.
Despite the strong monthly growth, the total area of residential construction permits issued in the first half of 2026 declined by 7.3% year-on-year, reaching 818,000 square meters across 94 projects.
