"We do not see any increased risk of infection related to the Black Friday," Revaz Magalashvili, director of Retail Group Georgia, told BMG.

According to Magalashvili, he makes that statement based on the strict regulations issued for the management of COVID-19.

“Black Friday” will start on November 25 in Georgia and customers will find traditional discounts on large and small appliances, clothing, shoes and various accessories.

As of today, management of appliance shop chains as well as the clothing retail sector do not have information on whether the point restrictions announced by the government will concern to them or not. Therefore, the planned promotions of the companies remain valid for the customers.

"We hope that announced restrictions will not concern to the retail sector. Unlike last year, "Black Friday" will continue for the whole week. In addition, shopping malls are considering opening earlier than usual in order to distribute customers flow", Revaz Magalashvili said.
