State museums in Armenia generated over $2.5 million (1 billion drams) in self-earned revenues in 2024, according to Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan during a press conference on January 8, summarizing the year’s results.
While final data on visitor numbers is still being compiled, the minister noted that December's attendance figures had already surpassed those of the previous year.
Andreasyan also announced the launch of a unified electronic ticketing system for museums. Starting this year, citizens will be able to purchase tickets and souvenirs from museums under the ministry's jurisdiction through an online platform.
