According to the Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze, young people are still leading the vaccination process. The demand and activity for vaccination in the upper age group are low.

As she pointed out if this dynamic is not changed adequately, the clinics will still be overcrowded and the lethality rate will still remain high.

"We shall take care of our elderly parents, grandparents, family members; Otherwise, unfortunately, we will still have overcrowded clinics and a high lethality rate," - the Minister addressed the citizens.

According to Tikaradze, it is known how much vaccination reduces risks for hospitalization.

"In case of one-dose vaccination, the risk of hospitalization is 2.85%, and in case of two-dose vaccination - 2.13%. In non-vaccinated people, in people over 60 the risk of hospitalization is almost 95%. I call on every citizen to get vaccinated," - said the minister.
