Fuel station operators in Georgia earn GEL 1,300 to GEL 1,500 on average, including bonuses, according to Medea Tsereteli, Rompetrol’s Supply and Logistics Manager. She shared the data during the session of the parliamentary Price Commission, where the company presented an overview of its operations.
Tsereteli noted that Rompetrol operates 81 fuel stations in Georgia, while the company’s regional network spans over 1,300 stations across Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, and Georgia. The company employs 905 people locally.
Base salaries for station operators average GEL 1,000, she explained, with additional quarterly bonuses bringing total monthly earnings to GEL 1,300–GEL 1,500. Operators typically work in 24-hour shifts.
The Price Commission, established earlier this year for a three-month mandate, continues to examine pricing mechanisms across multiple sectors, including fuel, in order to draft recommendations aimed at improving transparency and consumer protection.
