Blueberry manufacturing company Blue Valley is working to increase its exports share on the European market.
Levan Lebanidze, founder of the company declares that Russia is one of the major export markets, but they are going to make market diversification due to the unpredictable situation in Russia.
According to him, Blue Valley owns a necessary certificate for the European market and now holds negations with several companies from Netherlands, Spain and Italy.
“We sell products with small amount in Georgia. Our major market is Russia, but we try to increase our sales share on the European market due to the Russia-Ukraine War. Russia is so unpredictable, that we cannot make forecast for the future. At the same time, we have full certification for the EU market entry. We hold negotiations with the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. We just took part in the biggest exhibition in Berlin - fruit logistica 2022," said the founder of Blue Valley.
The company owns gardens on 18 hectares in the village of Laituri, Ozurgeti municipality. Last year, Blue Valley exported 100 tons of blueberries. The company expects to harvest about 100 tons of blueberries this year.
