The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) published a report on money transfer statistics for February 2023. In February, the largest share of remittances came to Georgia from the Russian Federation. In February 2023, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted USD 372.3 million (GEL 985.5 million), which was 103.0% (USD 188.9 million) more than the amount in February 2022.

2) Italy - USD 39 million, an increase of 18% compared to the previous year
3) USA - USD 30 million, an increase of 44% compared to the previous year
4) Greece - USD 17 million, an increase of 12% compared to the previous year
5) Israel - USD 16 million, an increase of 16% compared to the previous year
6) Germany - USD 15 million, an increase of 29% compared to the previous year
7) Kazakhstan - USD 13 million , decrease compared to the previous year -6%
8) Turkey - USD 9 million, an increase of 19% compared to the previous year
9) Kyrgyzstan - USD 6 million, an increase of 83% compared to the previous year
10) Spain - USD 4 million, a decrease from the previous year -2%.
In February 2023, USD 27.6 million (or 73.0 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, which was 3.2% more as compared to USD 26.7 million in February 2022.
