Natural gas supplies to Armenia from Russia will be halted from 8 am May 1 to 8 p.m. May 4, Armenia’s Russian-owned natural gas distributor Gazprom Armenia, said today.

According to it, the supplies will be halted for the scheduled repair of a section of the North Caucasus-South Caucasus main gas pipeline running through the southern Russian province of Stavropol.

During this period, households and enterprises in Armenia will be receiving natural gas without restrictions from the Abovyan underground natural gas storage facility.

Gazprom-Armenia, a 100% subsidiary of Russian Gazprom Holding, is the monopoly supplier of natural gas from Russia to Armenia across Georgia. The company is also engaged in transportation, storage, distribution and sales of gas, reconstruction and expansion of gas transportation system and underground gas storage capacities, ARKA reports.
