Salmonella has been detected in frozen chicken meat imported from Ukraine.
As of Revenue Service of the Finance Ministry, the employees of sanitary, phytosanitary and veterinary control division of the customs department carried out veterinary border-control procedures at border crossing point "Batumi Port" and detected salmonella bacteria in 23,380 kg of frozen chicken meat imported from Ukraine.
According to the September 20, 2019 Decree N463 of the Government of Georgia, goods were destroyed.
