Saloni, an international furniture brand operating in more than 70 countries with 177 existing branches, has officially entered the Georgian market. The company opened its first Georgian showroom in Batumi, with plans to expand to Tbilisi by December.
According to company representatives, the investment in the Batumi branch reached 1 million GEL, with a similar investment planned for the upcoming Tbilisi showroom.
“Batumi is a rapidly developing city, and accordingly, the demand for furniture is also growing. We know this city well and we thought that by setting up a showroom here, we would help people make the right decision. That is why we started with this city,” said Rati Putkaradze, Saloni’s director in Georgia.
Founded 25 years ago in Turkey, Saloni has established a global presence across markets such as the UK, France, the USA, and Canada. Exports account for 70% of the company’s revenue, with 30% coming from domestic sales.
The Batumi showroom combines Georgian traditional elements with modern design, offering customers a unique shopping experience. Visitors can explore complete model apartments, kitchen cabinet installations, and curated design corners. Customers are also able to select fabrics, colors, and textures from a wide catalog.
Saloni attributes much of its success to its in-house design studio and seven production facilities in Turkey, spanning 60,000 sq m and equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. The company emphasizes quality, modern design, and practicality, while also prioritizing eco-friendly materials and strict quality control systems.
With a diverse customer base—including homeowners, hoteliers, and commercial property developers—Saloni targets middle- and high-income consumers seeking premium-quality furniture.
“Eco-friendly materials and modern technologies are the foundation of our quality control. This is what makes Saloni one of the most reliable and sought-after brands worldwide,” noted Putkaradze.
