Vegetable producer "Samkura" has opened its first store in Tbilisi. As the founder of the farm, Nika Bagalishvili, told BM.GE, the store, located at 35 Kavtaradze Street, is fully focused on organic products and is already enjoying high interest from customers.
"Opening the store is very convenient for me and my customers. It is a very good location, with a large space and parking. Despite the fact that we have just opened the facility, the products are sold in the morning and are no longer available in the evening," says Nika Bagalishvili.
According to him, at this stage, the store sells only products produced by the "Samkura" farm, however, according to Bagalishvili, in the near future it plans to partner with other farmers who produce organic products. At this stage, negotiations are underway with them.
It is worth noting that the store is currently partially operational - only the outdoor space is open, which required an investment of about 2,000 GEL to equip. According to Bagalishvili, the indoor space will also be fully operational in the coming months, which will help form new partnerships.
As for other entrepreneurial plans, Bagalishvili is temporarily suspending development in the direction of gastronomic tourism, although he will continue to expand the farm.
"I have put on hold plans for development in the direction of gastronomic tourism in light of the events taking place in the country, because in this situation, I consider it unreasonable to invest in this direction. However, I plan to add two more new greenhouses to the farm, in which I plan to invest about 100,000 GEL, and in total I will have 4 greenhouses. Winter crops, early and late crops are planned to be grown in the greenhouses," Bagalishvili said.
"Samkura" has been producing various types of vegetables in the town of Tsnori and Sighnaghi Municipality, for several years.
