Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee, arrived in Georgia, the U.S. Embassy in Georgia reported.
According to the Embassy, Senator Steve Daines will convey the top priorities of President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the representatives of the Georgian government and political parties.
“Welcome to Georgia, Senator Daines! Senator Daines is a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and looks forward to meeting with representatives of government and political parties in Tbilisi.
He plans to raise domestic and international issues, including the rule of law and business and foreign investment priorities. He also plans to convey President Trump and Secretary Rubio’s top priorities, including the America-first agenda philosophy, and steps the Georgian government can take to show it is serious about improving its relationship with the United States,” reads the statement.
