The Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules of the Parliament supported the early termination of the powers of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Davit Sergeenko.

The early termination of Sergeenko's deputy powers is caused by his unexcused absence from more than half of the plenary meetings during the spring session.

"The relevant procedures were carried out by the Committee, this material was examined, and it is true that these were 25 unexcused absences out of the 32 sessions. Based on this, the Committee should make a relevant assessment," said Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee.

The Procedural Issues Committee will prepare a relevant report on the issue of unexcused absences from sessions. The decision will be taken by the Parliament in the fall session.

As it is known, the Vice Speaker of the Parliament Davit Sergeenko did not support the draft law on agents. After introducing the mentioned issue to the Parliament, Sergeenko rarely goes to the sessions. He also quit the Health Committee.
