The executive director of the Georgian airline "Service Air" declares, the company has recovered the number of passengers carried by domestic flights by 96% compared to the figure of 2019.
According to him, this year the company expects an increase in the number of customers and will announce the launch of new destinations within the country this year.
"Our company attracts a lot of tourists and we are glad that every year we attract vacationers from new markets in addition to the targeted ones. We observe the Chinese market, Asia - Korea, Japan, and traditionally Europe and our region.
2019 was a record year for us and we recovered this figure by 96%. In 2022, we were able to transport 22,000 passengers, which is very good. 70% of them are locals and 30% are foreign tourists.
We expect a big increase this year, because there are also positive expectations in terms of tourism. We expect a lot of tourists for the summer season, but for now what we are observing. The demand is also very high in the winter season. For example, the Natakhtari-Mestia route is in such great demand that we schedule 2 and 5 flights, because the flights are absolutely full. We also fly to Ambrolauri, Natakhtari-Batumi," said Igor Aptsiauri.
