According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the service sector volume for January-June 2024 reached $4.020 billion, marking a 4.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
In June 2024, this figure reached $727.5 million, representing a 7.8% increase from June of the previous year and a 5.6% rise compared to May of the current year.
The largest share within the service sector (30.8%) is occupied by financial and insurance activities, with a volume of $1.237 billion, up 19% from the same period last year.
The information and communication sector (17.8% share) amounted to $716.8 million, showing an 8.3% decline from the previous year. The transport sector (11% share) experienced a 16.8% drop to $442.1 million.
The accommodation and food services sector (10.2% share) grew by 8.2% to $409.6 million, while the culture, entertainment, and recreation sector (9% share) rose by 4.6% to $363.3 million.
The real estate sector (4.2% share) saw an 11.5% rise to $167.5 million, administrative and support services (3.4% share) grew by 8.8% to $136.5 million, and education (2.7% share) increased by 7.9% to $106.3 million.
