Georgian winery Simoneti Wine Cellar plans to increase production by approximately 30% this year as it seeks to expand its presence in international markets. Patritsia Mikelashvili, a representative of the company, told BM.GE that the winery has been actively operating since 2020 and has steadily expanded beyond the domestic market.

The company currently produces between 10,000 and 15,000 bottles of wine annually. Around 70% of sales are generated in Georgia, while the remaining 30% comes from exports. Simoneti Wine Cellar already exports to Lithuania, Latvia, China, and Japan and is exploring opportunities to enter additional markets, including the United States.

The winery currently offers nine wine labels and expects to expand its portfolio to 11 or 12 products by September as several new wines complete the aging process. Alongside still wines and pét-nats, the company is also developing a traditional-method sparkling wine. Simoneti Wine Cellar sources Rkatsiteli and Saperavi grapes from its own vineyards in the Tsinandali microzone, while purchasing selected Imeretian varieties from local growers.

According to Mikelashvili, the winery’s retail prices range from GEL 20 to GEL 45 per bottle, while export prices are between USD 5 and USD 10. She said the company’s strategy is to offer high-quality Georgian wines at accessible prices while continuing to grow its international footprint and introduce its products to a wider global audience.
