"Sisters' Wine" will appear on the Canadian market this year. Tamta Aivazishvili, co-founder of winemaking told BM.GE about this.
According to her, the winery started production in 2017 and at this stage, they produce 5 types of wine, namely Kisi, Khikhvi, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Rkatsiteli and Saperavi. The winery "Sisters' Wine" is a family business and is located in the village of Kardanakhi in Kakheti.
"The raw materials are from our wine yards. We have grown vineyards on 3 ha in the microzone of Tsarapi and we produce over 3000 bottles of wine in a year.
At this stage, we try to find export markets and now, we are holding negotiations with the Canadian partners. We have already sent the testers and received positive feedback from them. They also came and mentioned that they were impressed with our wine. Therefore, I can safely say that "Sister's wine" will be exported to the Canadian market this year. It should be noted that international markets are more interested in small productions because they are more focused on quality.
As for the local markets, we have very good feedback from the local markets. We sell products both on-site and online. However, negotiations are underway with several wine restaurants where our wine is planned to be served. The price of our wine starts from GEL 30 and varies depending on its type", says Aivazishvili.
It should be noted that family members are mostly employed on the winery, although they employ about 10 people during the season.
