Amid declining vacancies and demand for workers in the technology sector, companies are fundamentally changing their management strategies and structures. Tornike Tokhadze, CEO of SkyHi, said the decline is largely driven by companies actively implementing optimization measures.

According to Tokhadze, management styles are changing as new generations and modern technologies become increasingly integrated. “These new technology-oriented generations and technologies are so organically connected that they do not need additional management or extra layers. On the contrary, these become barriers. Everyone is turning to optimization, and this is the only way to survive and respond to economic pressures amid the technological disruption driven by AI,” he said.

Tokhadze also pointed to global trends encouraging companies to “stay small for as long as possible.” He said businesses are avoiding expansion as they face simultaneous economic and technological pressures, making optimization a key focus in current decision-making.

Regarding future careers, Tokhadze said the emphasis should be placed on universal skills rather than specific professions. “The key factors that will determine future careers are adaptability and flexibility. The focus should be more on skills than on long-term professions. No one can determine today how AI will change the environment in five years,” he said.
