Businessman Resan Kikava has publicly criticized Georgia’s political climate, saying the country is plagued by deep injustice that no moral person can ignore. In a Facebook post, he called the Tornike Rizhvadze incident "alarming and shocking," and pointed to another young man sentenced over false video footage as further evidence of selective justice.

“It’s impossible for so many injustices not to cause protest in a moral person,” Kikava wrote, adding that protest isn’t limited to those standing on Rustaveli Avenue.

On the topic of elections, he argued that in a state resembling Russia, elections cannot bring real change unless the country first breaks free from outside influence.

“You can’t ‘save’ Putin or Kadyrov through elections. First, Russia must let Georgia go.”

Kikava emphasized that participating in elections doesn’t automatically mean legitimizing them, but if clearly framed as civic engagement, it can be a platform for shaping public opinion.

“I may be wrong, but worse than a wrong stance is having no stance at all,” he concluded.
