The volume of fuel supplied to occupied Abkhazia by "Solidus" has increased to nearly 400 tons. Giorgi Arveladze, the company's owner, stated this to BM.GE.
According to him, the delivery of 300 tons could not resolve the fuel deficit in the Gali district of the occupied region; therefore, local demand for fuel remains, and "Solidus"—as a company holding special enterprise status—will continue supplies as long as demand persists.
"As long as this crisis exists, there will be demand. As long as this crisis lasts, I am ready to supply them, provided they have enough money. This does not happen for free. No one intends to give anything away as a gift. They do not want gifts either; they are buying it.Yesterday we exported an additional 100 tons, and as of today, we have exported a total of 400 tons," stated Giorgi Arveladze, adding that the company is under no obligation to notify the government regarding the export of additional volumes.
Arveladze states that he purchased the fuel in Georgia from the company "Repsol" and sold it to private owners in the occupied region.
"The reality there is a bit different. It is not yet a well-ordered, organized market like it is here," he added.
