Traditional craft workshop "Edena", based on the growing demand, is planning to expand production. As its founder, Lili Maisuradze said the company plans to employ new personnel.
"Edena" was founded in 2015 in Racha and offers customers samples of Georgian crafts, including felt, silk painting, cross embroidery, and enamel... The founder says that Racha motifs can be felt in each of the products they create.
“I had the idea of creating "Edena" when I was still a student; When I returned to Racha after being a student, I implemented this idea with the help of a small grant program together with my older friend. I hired 12 women, 6 of them remained in my workshop, and together we created the history of "Edena". At first, we started the business in a small rented room and then we expanded. That's how "Edena" became one big family, which unites up to 15 women," said Lili Maisuradze.
According to her, the products are trendy among customers, and there is a special demand for traditional headwear from Racha.
“There is a special demand for traditional headwear from Racha. It was a forgotten tradition and we have restored its production. We make them in different colors and send them everywhere. In a way, it has become our symbol," says Lili Maisuradze.
