The launch of Starbucks in Georgia has been postponed, two independent sources confirmed to BM.GE.

According to the sources, the project has not been canceled, but the opening has been delayed for unspecified reasons. Initially, the first Starbucks location, planned for Vake, Tbilisi, was expected to open in March 2026, but the timeline has now shifted.

Starbucks is entering the Georgian market through the Kuwait-based Alshaya Group, with the company’s Turkey office overseeing operations in Georgia. BM.GE contacted the company for clarification last week but has not yet received a response.

The Georgian counterpart, Enterprise Georgia, also declined to comment at this stage.

Current plans indicate that Starbucks will open its first locations in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi, with the long-term goal of reaching around 50 stores across Georgia within 7–8 years.

Confirmed early locations include Axis Towers and Tbilisi Outlet Village, while other sites have not yet been disclosed.
