Starbucks is officially entering the Georgian market. According to exclusive information obtained by BMG, the brand will be introduced in Georgia by the Arabic Alshaya Group, with their Turkish office directly overseeing operations in the country. Official representatives of Starbucks have visited Tbilisi several times and are expected to finalize details during the current week.

At the initial stage, Starbucks plans to open stores in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. Over the next 7-8 years, the brand aims to expand to up to 50 branches across Georgia. The first store is expected to open in Tbilisi’s Vake district in March 2026. Additionally, a Starbucks location is planned for Tbilisi Outlet Village, with active negotiations ongoing.

Guga Tsanava, shareholder and managing partner of the Georgian Outlets and Resorts Group, confirmed to BMG that discussions with Starbucks are progressing. He noted that interest in entering the Georgian market existed even before the COVID-19 pandemic, but the plans were delayed. Negotiations and preparations have been ongoing for approximately a year.

At this stage, pricing for Starbucks products in Georgia has not been disclosed. For context, Starbucks is an American company headquartered in Seattle, USA, and is the world’s largest coffeehouse chain. The first Starbucks store opened in Seattle on March 30, 1971.
