The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia congratulates farmers on Farmers' Day.
"The state has prioritized the development of Georgian agricultural production for over a decade, implying that state programs promoting access to preferential financial resources, agricultural machinery, contemporary education, and international markets have been created and implemented. Moreover, land reclamation infrastructure is developing, and the number of processing and storage companies is expanding with targeted assistance. For over a decade, our farmers and entrepreneurs, with the backing of the state, have created high-quality Georgian products that are in demand in local and global markets- these people are gradually improving our country's economy. Since 2015, we have been celebrating Farmer's Day annually on November 20.
On this day, we especially honor our farmers for their selfless efforts, commitment to growth and advancement, and, most significantly, for showcasing Georgia's potential by developing unique Georgian products and exporting them to foreign markets" , - Otar Shamugia said.
The Expo Georgia Exhibition Center will host the National Farmer's Day festivities on November 30, 2024.
The event will feature an agricultural trade fair. The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr Otar Shamugia, and other distinguished guests will attend the official opening ceremony, which will commence at 12:00 PM.
