The National Agency of State Property for the Ministry of Economy has fulfilled the privatization plan by 108% for the two quarters of the current year, - the agency itself reports.
According to the agency, in the first half of the year, the amount mobilized as a result of privatization amounted to GEL 170,297,378, of which GEL 127,558,754 was transferred instead of GEL 118,000,000 to the state budget, the self-government budget received GEL 26,370,851 and the government budget of Adjara - GEL 1,154,734.
As part of an accelerated privatization program, the National Agency of State Property announced 1,190 auctions this year.
"The privatization process is transparent and accessible to all. In response to increased demand, the agency will continue to actively privatize state assets in the future and contribute to the development of the country's economy," the agency noted in the statement.
According to statistics, the National Agency of State Property sold property worth GEL 34,833,394 in Q1 and GEL 92,725,360 in Q2.
The largest auction announced by the National Agency of State Property in 2022 was the former Mikhailovi Hospital, which was bought by Georgia's dual citizen, businessman Shalva Breus, for GEL 16 million. Rike Jugs were sold for GEL 10 million, which was bought by businessman Davit Khidasheli. Also, 74 hectares of land near Poti Port were sold for GEL 10 million.
A few days ago, the National Agency of State Property has brought 24 large objects for privatization in Kutaisi, the total cost of which is GEL 43.7 million.
