We call on the Georgian authorities to investigate all the complaints, with due scrutiny and with proper respect to the institutional process, as well as according to prevailing procedures. That would enhance transparency and trust in the electoral process, especially before the second round scheduled on November 21" - reads the statement issued the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
According to the statement, Polish Ministry shares the assessments of international organisations that the elections were competitive and fundamental freedoms, international standards were respected; however, it also underlines worrying reports on irregularities and violations.
The Polish MFA also said that Poland invariably expresses its constant support for the territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognised borders as well as for its Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
