The Strong Georgia coalition will submit a request to the Central Election Commission (CEC) to withdraw its parliamentary list.
During a briefing, the coalition’s leader, Mamuka Khazaradze, announced that coalition members had decided to renounce their mandates as Members of Parliament (MPs). However, they are awaiting clarification regarding procedural issues that emerged following the “illegitimate” convening of parliament yesterday.
Regarding their future action plans, Khazaradze stated that Strong Georgia intends to establish a public parliament.
“We have a vision to create an alternative, public parliament. This assembly will be composed of opposition politicians elected through what we believe to be stolen votes, alongside the active participation of civic organizations and individuals. We will urge the West to recognize this alternative parliament,” he declared.
