In the first 10 months of this year, sugar exports to Georgia have increased. According to Geostat, during this period, Geprgoa spent USD 76.7 million to buy 113,114 tons of sugar.
The value of imports increased by 28.4%, and the volume by about 10,000 tons, which means an increase of 9%.
Brazil has been the main sugar exporting market for the country for the last 4 years, which accounts for 48.2% of total imports. The value of sugar exports decreased slightly by about USD 1.3 million, and the volume of purchased goods decreased by 6,255 tons. Therefore, we can say that sugar has become more expensive in Brazil.
