The company Svanidze Olive is entering a new phase of large-scale development, planning both significant expansion of its export operations and the planting of millions of olive trees across Georgia. Founder Giorgi Svanidze told BMG that the modern processing facility in Dedoplistskaro produces olive oil of exceptional quality, resulting in strong demand from local distributors as well as international partners.

According to Svanidze, interest from foreign distributors is growing rapidly, and the plant’s capacity is sufficient to meet both domestic and global demand. The company also encourages local farmers in Dedoplistskaro and the wider Kakheti region to deliver their olive harvests to the facility during the season.

Looking ahead, the company aims to greatly expand its plantations, increasing the supply of raw materials and enabling higher production volumes. The central objective is to plant millions of new olive trees in Georgia and strengthen the country’s presence in both local and international markets. Export efforts are particularly focused on Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and several European destinations.

Svanidze Olive is currently working to establish a stronger foothold in Kazakhstan and the Netherlands as well, while demand in the Middle East continues to rise. China has also shown increasing interest in olive oil, and the company hopes to enter that market in the coming year. The new, technologically advanced processing plant in Kakheti’s Taribana Valley opened in October following a GEL 7 million investment. With a daily processing capacity of up to 150 tons of olives, the facility is capable of producing thousands of tons of premium oil annually.
