Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard has responded to the amendments to Georgia’s Law on Grants.
In a post on social network X, Stenergard stated that the changes are fundamentally incompatible with the values of the European Union and basic democratic principles.
“Yesterday, the latest of laws severely restricting civil society was rushed through and adopted in Georgia. This is fundamentally incompatible with EU values and core democratic principles,” Swedish FM wrote.
