Zurab Lalazashvili, BDO’s Executive Director for the Caucasus and Central Asia, declares that 2025 was a successful year for “BDO Georgia.”
Financial statements submitted to the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision (SARAS) show that last year the firm generated 7.6 million GEL in revenue from audit services alone, slightly exceeding the 2024 figure.
Lalazashvili noted that the outcome was better than expected:
“Last year we achieved better results than we anticipated. At the beginning of 2025 there was substantial uncertainty about business activity, access to finance both locally and internationally, and investor interest in Georgia. Because of this, our forecast for 2025 was rather pessimistic. In January–February, we even planned for a pessimistic scenario. However, reality turned out to be considerably better. Compared to 2024, our revenues in Georgia increased, and the company grew both in total turnover and across different service lines. Given the environment in which we operate, I can confidently say that 2025 was a successful year for BDO Georgia.”
A major milestone came at the end of 2025, when BDO launched its unified regional structure in the Caucasus and Central Asia (CCA) - bringing together Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan under one firm, headed by Lalazashvili.
In an extended interview with BMGTV, Lalazashvili also discussed the current state of Georgian business and future prospects. In his view, “Georgian businesses have begun adapting to the new reality.”
