Today, a few minutes before the launch of the voting procedure, it has become known that the amendments to the bill on Health Care, on which a consensus has been reached between the representatives of the clinics and the Ministry of Health, will not be approved.

Tamar Gabunia, Deputy Minister of Health declared to BM.GE, that she had a conversation with Ekaterine Tikaradze after the committee hearing. According to Gabunia, due to the fact that the author of the bill is the Ministry and the government, it has been decided to “withdraw” the bill for the reconciliation of positions afresh.

It is unknown what will happen to the parts of the bill that has been agreed today.

As a result of the sharp position expressed by the clinics at today's meeting, the Ministry of Health gave up several issues, including changing the record regarding the easing of sanctions, and the committee approved the bill by the second reading. A few minutes later, the bill was voted on the second reading at the plenary session and it was approved. Today, during the break in the plenary session, Dimitri Khundadze's committee managed to discuss and adopt the bill by the third reading.
