Former CEC chairwoman Tamar Zhvania has been appointed director of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in Uzbekistan. Relevant information is published on the website of the organization. Zhvania started working on the post in October.
According to the organization's website, Zhvania has 21 years of experience in election-related issues and the development of electoral systems.
As it is known, Zhvania announced her resignation from the position of the CEC chairman in June this year. As she wrote on Facebook, her early resignation was linked to an agreement reached between the parties, which she said created a new reality.
Zhvania has been heading the CEC since 2013.
