The winners of the Corporate Sustainability Award 2024 were announced at a prestigious ceremony on February 19, 2024. TBC Leasing was honored as the winner in the category of Partnership for Sustainable Development (SDG 17) for its outstanding contributions to fostering sustainable finance in Georgia.
The event featured fireside chats with representatives of the diplomatic corps and International organizations and discussions with the winners, focusing on the social, environmental, governance, and partnership dimensions of the SDGs.
The award specifically recognizes TBC Leasing’s partnership with the Green for Growth Fund (GGF), represented by Finance in Motion, under the “Deep Greening – Scaling Initiative” aimed at promoting solar PV systems in Georgia. Through this collaboration, TBC Leasing financed approximately GEL 7 million in solar panel projects, with a grant of up to EUR 150,000 dedicated to the customers for the design and installation of solar panels. These grants were subsidized with funding from the European Union under the EU4Energy Initiative.
The Corporate Sustainability Award 2024 is made possible through the support of the Government of Sweden, USAID’s Civil Society Engagement Program, and the Council of Europe Office. The nominations were evaluated by a distinguished panel of Georgian and international experts, following the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted in 2015.
