Tbilisi City Hall is set to launch a population survey to improve the quality and efficiency of public transportation routes, as announced by Mayor Kakha Kaladze at the recent municipal government meeting.
Mayor Kaladze noted that the last survey of this nature was conducted in 2016, which significantly assisted the city government in formulating its transport policy.
“This project will be implemented with financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and involve collaboration with foreign experts and consultants. The population survey regarding public transport usage will help analyze routes, manage mobility, and assess necessary measures,” Kaladze stated.
The Mayor urged the residents of Tbilisi to actively participate in the survey to identify challenges and optimize the transportation network.
“Safe, fast, and comfortable public transport starts with your involvement. Please take part in the survey so that we can gather accurate information and better understand what needs to be done in the coming years to address the challenges we face. As the city expands and new districts develop, effectively managing public transportation operations becomes increasingly vital,” he emphasized.
