The Tourism Development Department of the Tbilisi City Hall will conduct a survey of requirements, - Eka Burdiladze, the Head of the Department talked to BM.ge about this.

“According to the current statistics, visitors stay in Tbilisi for 3-4 days. That is why it is important to plan activities that will make them staylonger. Activities for different age visitors with different taste and requirements will be planned. This year will be dedicated to surveying the main requirements, based on which activities will be panned, including also for night hours. As to the fact the capital is the main tourist center and the most visited destination, it is important that city sightseeing is possible from different viewpoints – taking into consideration all the features and not only within the existing standard tours; in various spaces and cultural institutions it is also possible to stage short improvisations based on legends and historical facts, hold seasonal festivals, etc.”, - stated Burdiladze.

As to the 2018 Action Plan, according to Eka Burdiladze, it is planned to place some 4-6 trilingual information boards and maps in the Old City.

The Tourism Development Department is planning also to print tourist information materials (Tbilisi tourist map, Walking in Tbilis, Tbilisi suburbs, small map and guide with barcodes, Old Tbilisi tourist map, Tbilisi panoramic map [with 6 tours]), which will be available for tourists free of charge at visitor information centers and hotels.

“Also new innovative-touristic projects will be developed before the end of the year, which projects will be implemented next year”, - noted Burdiladze.
