State Procurement Agency of Georgia reports, that three tenders announced on acquisition of LED outdoor lightings by Tbilisi City Hall have failed.
The total value of the tenders was set at 85 million GEL. Supposedly, the tenders failed due to the non-standard conditions.
Tenders on the outdoor lighting were divided into 3 parts. The City Hall was purchasing 100,000 LED lights worth GEL 28.4 million, GEL 27.7 million and GEL 29.3 million. The company that won the tender was obliged to deliver the products this year, but Tbilservice Group would pay for the products within 10 years.
Initially, the total value of those tenders was higher and their cost amounted to 101 million GEL. Under the renewed conditions, Tbilservice Group was paying 85 million GEL for the purchase of the outdoor lightnings, but none of the companies participated in the tender.
A few days ago, law firm BDO Legal announced on the non-standard conditions of the tender, noting that a similar type of procurement raised questions of the tender participants.
