The 2023 budget of Tbilisi Municipality increased by GEL 20 million 552 thousand and amounted to 1 billion 823 million 624 thousand GEL.
The issue was discussed by the deputies at the City Council session and approved by the majority of votes.
According to Giorgi Tkemaladze, Chairman of the City Council, the increased budget, along with other programs, will also be used for the hip endoprosthesis program, which will be launched in September.
"Today the budget has increased and it is important that the new budget provides a new program that specifically deals with hip endoprosthesis. This is a new program and many of our fellow citizens need such an operation. We can say that from September, they will be provided with a GEL 6,000 voucher, which will give them the opportunity to benefit from the mentioned financing. In addition to endoprosthetics, the budget has increased for the financing of the rehabilitation program for children with autism," said Tkemaladze.
