Tbilisi’s 2025 budget is increasing by GEL 209,684,900, with this issue to be discussed at today’s City Assembly meeting. Tbilisi City Assembly Chair Giorgi Tkemaladze announced the city’s budget has reached a historic mark of GEL 2,192,862,900.
According to him, the budget increase will create significant opportunities for Tbilisi, and these funds will be allocated to projects in various priority areas.
“Tbilisi’s budget has reached a historic milestone. Following the adjustments to the capital city’s primary financial document, it has increased by GEL 209 million, bringing the total to GEL 2,192,862,900. This is a crucial decision that will create new opportunities for the city.
The funds will be allocated to the main priorities outlined in the financial document, including various planned infrastructure projects. Additionally, resources will be devoted to transportation reform, improving environmental conditions, enhancing healthcare and social services, and developing sports infrastructure. I believe that 2025 will be a significant year for Tbilisi in this regard,” stated Giorgi Tkemaladze.
According to the City Assembly Chair, today’s session will also discuss property legalization issues, which is also very important for citizens who have been waiting for decades to legalize their residential spaces.
“We always try to make decisions that will attract investments and promote proper city development,” stated Giorgi Tkemaladze.
