Tea House Chaibude opens in Mestia late in December. As its founder, Tatia Tetrashvili told BM.GE, the first vintage cafe in Mestia will be able to host 25 guests at the same time.
"We are opening a tea house in the center of Mestia, where guests can mainly taste an assortment of teas, hot chocolate, coffee and sweets. As for the design, we have chosen more vintage style and Georgian elements.
A vintage cafe is new for Mestia, so we expect a lot of interest, we can host 25 guests at the same time, and to tell the truth, like other spaces in Mestia, our cafe is mainly focused on tourists. However, we think that the cozy environment and discounted prices should be interesting for locals as well. With us, the price of coffee starts from GEL 5, and sweets from GEL 3-4, Tatia Tetrashvili said.
According to her, the main challenge in the process of launching the tea house was the lack of local staff.
"It is very difficult to find staff here, it has also been the main challenge for us, we currently employ 4 people, although we may need additional staff. School-age children are also active in some positions, and this is the solution," she noted.
Tatia Tetrashvili noted that she created "Chaibude" completely with personal investment - she rented a space and arranged the interior according to her own taste, she made an investment of GEL 30,000.
