Metro Holding is working on another large-scale project in Batumi. According to Raul Kakhadze, director of Metro Holding, Batumi Free Economic Zone will be located on the land area of 300,000 square meter. Tech Park will be built in Gogoli Street.

“Our goal is to create a tech hub center Western Georgia. This project will be very important not only for Batumi, but also for the entire Black Sea coast. Data centers equipped with innovative systems will include the so-called smart offices, logistics center and other infrastructure. Successful international IT companies from the Far East, Dubai, Turkey and Europe will be represented in the Tech Park,” said Raul Kakhadze.

The total investment of the project amounts to USD250 million, of which 70% will be invested by the company, while 30% will be attracted from investment funds.

"The main construction works of the project are completed. The arrangement of internal infrastructure will be finished soon and, as expected, we will start operating in about 4-6 months,” said the director of the company.

According to Kakhidze, the goal of "Metro Holding" is to meet the business needs of representatives of different countries and to interest them in the preferential tax regime in Georgia.

Founder of Metro Holding is famous Turkish businessman Galif Ozturk, one of the largest investors in Adjara. He has already implemented a number of investment projects in Georgia since 2012.
