Vakhtang Kacharava, CFO of Tegeta Motors told Forbes Week, that the pandemic had an impact on the sector and the period was not easy, but the sector dealt with challenges and also began to make changes to its management model.

Vakhtang Kacharava says that the changes are only caused by the pandemic effect, as it is required by the demand on innovations. The CFO of the company emphasizes the support of TBC Bank and the sharing of experience in this process, as the bank started transformation long before the pandemic.

"In 2020, we tried to maintain the results of 2019 in Tegeta and we even improved these results in some components. In 2020, we changed the management model, started the agile transformation.

Tegeta has more than 20 subsidiaries and more than 5 business lines. It can be said that the pandemic is not a good time to start making changes in management, however we have accepted this challenge. I think we had 2 main tasks in this process. One - we had to create additional value for the customer and see their requirements with 360 degrees; the second was additional growth in the team and the prospect. Until now, the traditional approach was to serve customers according to the classes, now we have seen the opposite and realized that customer classification is not important, the main thing is for them to get quality service.

We represent dozens of brands in terms of car manufacturers and in all cases digitalization is important. The manufacturers of "Porsche" and "Volvo", which we represent, say that this year 10% of their sales will be made through so-called e-comers. Studies show that such sales bring added value - the customer saves the time and the seller is able to offer more services, which is a kind of comfort for both parties," - explained Vakhtang Kacharava.
